You need to know three key settings: ISO, Shutter Speed, and Aperture.

Let’s break them down into simple terms:

  1. ISO adjusts how sensitive your camera is to the light. A low ISO (like 100) means the camera is sensitive, which is great for bright light. A high ISO (like 3200) makes the camera more sensitive to low light but might add grainy noise to your photo.
  2. Shutter Speed controls how long your camera’s sensor is exposed to light. A fast shutter speed (like 1/1000 second) captures sharp, frozen images, while a slow speed (like 1/30 second) lets in more light but might create motion blur.
  3. Aperture is the lens opening that controls the light coming into the camera. A small f-number (like f/2.8) opens the lens, letting in a lot of light and blurring the background. A larger f-number (like f-16) makes the image clearer with more focus.
